Owen Farrell is the latest name to be confirmed in the World XV side to face France this summer.

The former England skipper joins fellow Saracens Billy and Mako Vunipola in Ian Foster’s squad. Fiji’s Semi Radradra and France’s Maxime
Machenaud and Camille López are also confirmed to be in the squad.

This will likely be Owen Farrell’s last international match for at least two years, after he agreed a deal to join Racing 92 in January.

In a statement, Farrell said: ““The prospect of playing for the World XV is incredibly exciting. This will be the first time I will have played for an invitation team. Joining up with guys like Semi Radradra, Camille Lopez, Maxime Machenaud, in a less pressurised environment is something I am really looking forward to.”

Farrell will also follow in his Dad’s footsteps, as Andy Farrell represented the side in 2006.

World XV head coach, Ian Foster, also commented on Farrell joining his star-studded team: “I am delighted Owen has made himself available to play for the World XV. Having a player of Owen’s ability will be a massive asset to the team.”

The game will take place on the 22nd of June in Bilbao. It also acts as a curtain raiser for France’s summer tour.
