Northampton Saints confirm triple signings

Northampton Saints have bolstered their ranks ahead of next season with three new recruits joining the club.

Luke Green from San Diego Legion, Fyn Brown from Doncaster Knights and Archie Benson from Luctonians will all join the club ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Green, a tighthead, moves to Franklin’s Gardens after two seasons in Major League Rugby. He initially came through the London Irish system, and made his debut for the Exiles in 2020. He has also won caps for England U20s. Green was also in line to play for the Saints during their Premiership Cup campaign this season.

Brown joins the Saints from Championship high-flyers Doncaster Knights, where he has been a regular this season. The 21-year-old came up through the Wasps academy, and made his debut for the club against Leicester Tigers.

Benson makes the switch to Northampton from National Two side Luctonians, where he has quickly made a name for himself as one of the best back-rowers in the league. He also spent time in the Gloucester academy.

Commenting on the trio of new signings, Director of Rugby Phil Dowson said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Luke, Fyn and Archie to Northampton Saints. Some of our best signings over the last few years have been guys who have not necessarily followed the ‘conventional’ route into the Premiership.”

He added: “We have a great record of bringing players in who can make a big difference, so we hope these guys can tread the same path and we’re really looking forward to seeing what they can do in a Black, Green and Gold jersey next season.”
