Gallagher Premiership Round 17 TV broadcast schedule confirmed

The broadcast schedule for round 17 of the Gallagher Premiership has now been confirmed, with three games to be aired live on TNT Sports. 

Sale Sharks’ make-or-break home tie against Leicester Tigers gets the weekend underway on TNT Sports. Also 0on Friday night, Newcastle Falcons game with Bath next Friday will be available to stream on PRTV.

There is plenty to choose from on Saturday, with three huge games on TV. Northampton Saints vs Gloucester is up first on Discovery+.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Bristol Bears take on Saracens at Ashton Gate and Exeter Chiefs welcome Harlequins to Sandy Park. These will both air on TNT Sports. Bristol vs Saracens will also be available to watch on ITV.

Round 17 will yet again be a crucial block of fixtures for each teams. Just six points separate second-placed Saracens and seventh-placed Exeter.

Sale, Exeter, Harlequins and Bristol all know they have to win to keep their play-off dreams alive, but wins for Northampton, Bath and Saracens would likely cement their spots in the top four and go a long way to ensuring a home tie in the process.

Round 16 recap

The weekend started off with a tense game at the Rec on Friday night, as Saracens edged past Bath Rugby 13-12.

On Saturday, Bristol Bears scored a last-gasp try to down Leicester Tigers 21-19 at Welford Road. Not to be outdone, Harlequins overcame three yellow cards to beat Northampton Saints 42-31 at the ‘Big Stoop’.

Rounding off the weekend, Sale Sharks overcame a much-improved Newcastle Falcons side 35-14, and Exeter Chiefs secured a statement 38-17 win over Gloucester.
