Bristol Bears icon Steven Luatua has committed his long-term future to the club after signing a new deal.
Since joining the Bears back in 2017, Luatua has gone onto become an integral part of the forward pack at Ashton Gate. He has racked up an impressive 126 appearances to date, 90 of which came as captain.
Commenting on the deal, Steven Luatua said: “The opportunity to stay at the club was an easy decision to me. I’m proud to represent this club and I know how much it means to the city.”
“I’m grateful to Pat, Chris and the Lansdown family for the faith they show in me and also to the community who have made me and my family so welcome here.”
“I think of how far we have come during my time here and I believe we have so much more to achieve. I’m excited by the potential of our young and hungry squad next season and excited to see what we can accomplish.”
In his time at Ashton Gate, Luatua has lifted the Championship title in 2018, the European Challenge Cup in 2020 and was an integral part of the side that romped to the top of the Premiership in 2021.
